PRODUCT

Bluebird Lighting provided a full custom lighting package for both the guestrooms and public spaces, with a wide range of fixtures designed specifically for the project. To name a few:

In the guestrooms, the lighting was designed as a layered system, with each piece playing a specific role. The headboard-mounted reading lights are a standout detail; wrapped in leather and mounted directly to the headboard, they bring a custom, integrated feel while the burnished brass shade adds warmth and contrast.

Table lamps and floor lamps carry that same material story, combining burnished brass with matte black and soft neutral tones. In several fixtures, ruched and pleated fabric shades introduce texture and soften the light while keeping the overall look clean.

The plaster pendants anchor the guestrooms, with sculpted forms suspended from burnished brass rods and canopies. They create a strong visual moment while tying back to the building’s historic character through material and tone.

In the lobby, the sconces at the reception desk act as a focal point. Finished in warm brass with softly diffused light, they sit comfortably within the architecture while still making a statement.

THE STORY

Bluebird Lighting partnered with Ward + Gray on The Bellevue Hotel, continuing a relationship we are incredibly proud of. As a repeat client, their ongoing trust means a great deal to our team, and this project is a reflection of that continued collaboration.

Their clear vision and thoughtful approach carried through every phase, allowing us to develop a lighting package that respects the building’s historic character while introducing a fresh, updated layer throughout. From guestrooms to public spaces, each fixture was designed to feel connected, creating a cohesive experience across the property.
